Warm air from the vents, a frozen line or an outdoor unit that hums and won't start: we repair central air conditioners and heat pumps across Mississauga, any make, and agree the price before the work.
Typical ranges, not quotes, plus HST. We agree your price before the repair starts.
📞 Call (647) 677-0037Where the equipment sits shapes the repair. Mississauga's mix of houses, townhouses and towers means we work on all of these:

Close to a third of the city's homes (31%) went up between 1961 and 1980, mostly with ductwork designed for heating. When central air was added later, those ducts and small return grilles were kept, so an upstairs bedroom can stay warm even when the air conditioner itself works perfectly. We measure airflow at the vents before blaming the equipment, and tell you whether the fix is a repair, a duct change or a ductless unit for that one room.

A central AC typically gives 12 to 15 years of service. In Mississauga, 39% of homes were built between 1981 and 2000, so an air conditioner installed with the house is long past that. Use this as a rough guide, and we will tell you plainly what we would do:
| Age of the AC | Usually |
|---|---|
| Under 8 years | Repair. Parts may still be under the manufacturer's warranty |
| 8 to 12 years | Repair, unless the compressor has failed |
| Over 12 years, or uses R-22 | Get a replacement price before paying for a big repair |
| Service | Typical price |
|---|---|
| Most AC repairs, parts and labour | $350 to $950 |
| Finding the fault | No charge |
| Yearly AC tune-up | $150 to $250 |
| Heat pump or ductless repair | $400 to $1,200 |
| Rented AC from GT | Repairs covered, $0 |
Before HST, and the same as our Brampton prices. A refrigerant leak or a compressor on an older unit can cost more; we tell you before any work.
If a rented Mississauga unit comes with air conditioning, the City's Adequate Temperature By-law says it should stay at 26°C or cooler in the rooms tenants normally use, unless the lease says otherwise or the tenant controls the cooling. A broken AC in a rented home is the landlord's to fix promptly. Tenants should report it to the landlord first; landlords and property managers can book us any hour.

In many Mississauga condo townhouse complexes, each owner is responsible for their own air conditioner even though the outdoor unit sits on common property. Your declaration and rules say for certain. If the unit is yours, we repair it like any other; if the corporation maintains it, your property manager books the service.
Most AC failures show up on the first really hot days, when a unit that sat idle all winter suddenly runs for hours. A spring tune-up in April or May, $150 to $250, checks the capacitor, the refrigerant charge, the outdoor coil and the drain while appointments are easy to get. Switch the system to cooling for ten minutes on a warm spring day too: if it does not blow cold, you have time to fix it before you need it.
If the repair price is high and the unit is old, a new air conditioner can cost less over the next few summers and use less hydro every month. Mississauga replacements start at $4,000 installed, or $44.95 a month to rent. See AC installation in Mississauga, or consider a heat pump that heats as well as cools.
