New Furnaces

Replacing a Furnace in an Etobicoke Home

With 62% of Etobicoke homes built before 1981, many still run an ageing furnace that vents into the chimney. Every furnace we install is 96% AFUE or better and vents in plastic pipe, usually through a side wall, so we also check that a water heater left in the chimney still drafts on its own. Buy installed or rent with $0 upfront:

FurnaceSuitsBuy installedRent per month
Midea MGV96, two-stage1,500 to 2,800 sq ft, best value$3,222*$43.99*

*Includes standard installation only. Any extra work your home needs is quoted before we start.

Removing the old furnace, permits and a full safety test are part of the price, and most installations take 4 to 6 hours. Details: furnace installation and furnace rental. Prices before HST.

Hot Water

Water Heaters for Older Etobicoke Houses

Plenty of Etobicoke houses from the 1950s to the 1970s still send the water heater's exhaust up the chimney. Once the old furnace that shared that chimney is replaced, the water heater on its own may not make enough warm exhaust to draw properly. We test the draft whenever we work on a water heater, and the answer is usually a chimney liner, a power-vent tank or a tankless heater vented through the wall. Monthly rentals:

Water

Toronto's Water in an Etobicoke Home

Etobicoke drinks Lake Ontario water treated by the City of Toronto. The City's 2025 testing averaged 119 mg/L of hardness, and it says softening is usually not needed in most homes. A tankless heater is the exception worth knowing about: its narrow heat exchanger still collects scale over time, and Navien's own manual asks for either scale protection or an annual flush. Rented tankless units get that flush at their yearly visit.

Renters and Condos

Rented Homes and Condo Suites in Etobicoke

About 40% of Etobicoke households rent, and 29% of homes are condominiums. If you rent, your landlord normally arranges heating and cooling repairs; Toronto's minimum-heat rule is set out on our Etobicoke furnace repair page. In a condo, equipment that serves only your suite is usually yours to maintain, while building systems belong to the corporation. We work for owners, landlords and property managers alike.

Common Questions

Etobicoke HVAC FAQ

Do you cover all of Etobicoke?
Yes, from Long Branch and Humber Bay Shores in the south to Rexdale and Humberwood in the north. Call (647) 677-0037 to book.
Are Etobicoke prices the same as Brampton prices?
Yes. One published price list covers every area we serve, and every price is before HST.
How much is a new furnace in Etobicoke?
From $3,222 installed for a Midea MGV96, or from $43.99 a month to rent with nothing upfront, before HST. All four models are in the furnace table on this page.
Do I need a water softener in Etobicoke?
Most homes do not. Toronto's water averaged 119 mg/L in 2025 and the City says softening is usually not needed. If you have a tankless heater, a yearly flush keeps scale out of it.
Do you work in condo buildings?
Yes, on equipment that serves your suite alone, such as an in-suite water heater or a mini-split where the building allows one. Shared building systems are the corporation's to maintain.
Can I switch my water heater rental from Enercare or Reliance?
Yes. Your new heater goes in, and we take the old one back to the company that owns it. Any buyout or removal fee is between you and them. See switching providers.
Do you hold a TSSA registration?
Yes, #000307842. Every gas job is done by a certified gas technician.
